“Men In Places” is a compilation of four short stories written by Adam Curley. It’s about men. Men away from home, men between ages, men hanging on and men trying to let go. Printed by Xavier on the RISO printer at Dawn Press in Collingwood, it’s also a small-run, numbered, lo-fi, handcrafted thing to take home.
The summer before my family split apart, the story of an attempted kidnapping passed through the children of our new neighbourhood much as head lice during the winter back home…
Please come help give it a little launch at Meyers Place on Tuesday 21 May from 6pm-8pm. Wordsmiths-with-attitude Geoffrey O’Connor (Crayon Fields, his damn self) and Anna Barnes (rap-toting author of “Girl! The Ultimate Guide To Being You”) will be taking over the iPod dock, and copies of “Men In Places” will be for sale at $5 (to cover the cost of printing).
Facebook event is here: http://on.fb.me/10KoC2r
* If you’d like to buy a copy and can’t make the launch, please email me and I’ll put one aside and post you a package – firstname.lastname@example.org – Cost will be $5+P&H.
